Our Alodine Finish Services
Provide MIL-DTL-5541F compliant chemical conversion coatings for aluminum alloys. Our automated processing lines handle parts up to 3m length, offering Type I (chromate) and Type II (chromate-free) options with color variations from clear to golden iridescent.
What is Alodine Finish?
A chemical conversion coating process where:
Aluminum reacts with chromate/trivalent chromium solutions
Forms protective aluminum oxide/chromate compound layer
Typically 0.5-4μm thickness
Key specifications:
Coating weight: 0.1-0.4 mg/cm²
Salt spray resistance: 168-500+ hours
Electrical resistance: <5 mΩ per square
